TERRY GILLIAM
[Short Bio to come] Terry Gilliam has been called a visionary, a maverick, and a mad genius. In truth, it is hard to define the man. Much like his films, there is no simple way to categorize his vast imagination. Terry Gilliam: "The film is done. I'm very proud to have been a part of it. Most of the questions concerning the birth and childhood of the script have been answered. It has become increasingly clear that some sort of cinematic guardian angel has been hovering around this project from the beginning...from the moment Richard, with no hope of it ever being produced, wrote the script for himself, as an exercise in screenplay writing. "Someone has been watching over The Fisher King. "We have been able to maintain a protective shell around the project that has allowed creativity to fumble around in the dark, making mistakes, finding confidence, and then, eventually, falling into happy, magical solutions. The piece has grow organically without interference from fearful executives. No chemical or pesticides or artificial preservatives have been used." Richard LaGravenese: "Terry is visual. I'm much more literal. My favourite movies are strongly scripted with emphasis on character. We crossed our bridges to meet at the center, which is why the film has an interesting combination of styles." Lynda Obst & Debra Hill (Producers): "Terry Gilliam -- visionary anarchist, torturer of studio heads, annihilator of producers, grand architect of the imagination. The Red Knight was meant to be drawn by him." A SELECTED FILMOGRAPHY
